Shawn grew up in Lancaster, PA, the youngest of three sons. He was active in baseball, swimming, church, school plays & chorus and a hobby that would grow into a career, magic.
At school, he excelled at math but failed to distinguish between the stage and the classroom. His favorite trick was the vanishing homework. Teachers typically did not share the same sense of humor the young rascal employed, and often gave Shawn hallpasses straight to the principal's office.
It was not uncommon to catch him practicing card tricks any time of the day, even during detention. It was in there, in the school library, after school, where he found his first book about magic. Shawn's fascination with magic grew as he learned how to turn impossibility into reality.
He focused his efforts into creating a live, one-man stage show, where the audience could laugh at his off-the-wall humor, not become a victim of it.
Graduating from Philadelphia University as a Distinguished Honors Scholar, he paid his school expenses by performing hundreds of shows for schools, families, and businesses in Philadelphia, New Jersey and Delaware.
Today, 20 years after his interest in magic began, Shawn lives and works in downtown Lancaster, PA. He is the group leader of the Lancaster Society of Young Magicians, Treasurer of the Professional Magicians Club of Lancaster County, and a Member of the Capitol Area Performing Magicians Club, the International Society of Magicians, and the Society of American Magicians. He continues to astound audiences with his unique brand of electrifying entertainment.
